In an apartment community, the groundskeepers are the ones who keep the property looking good. They remove debris and trash from the property. This includes picking up trash, pet waste, leaves, and branches. The groundskeepers inspect and clean areas throughout the property including hallways, fitness centers, pool decks, offices, parking lots, trash chutes, elevators, and other apartment common areas.
• A typical day might include some dusting, sweeping, mopping, light painting, moving furniture, etc. but most of the work is outside.
• Daily you will use standard equipment like a backpack leaf blower, pressure washer, and run garbage compactors.
• Groundskeepers often get a chance to learn new general maintenance skills and can be promoted quickly once they master those skills.

Tasks most often involve prolonged standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
Frequently lift 50+ pounds across variable distances.
