As an EPA Certified Maintenance Technician, you play a vital role in ensuring our properties maintain an excellent standard of living through regular and proactive residential maintenance. Your skills are crucial to the well-being of residents and the longevity of the property.
Job Summary: As a Maintenance Technician in Powder Springs, GA, you will oversee and maintain the physical property’s appearance and maintenance, ensuring consistent and efficient operations daily. Engage in routine upkeep for individual apartments, shared spaces and amenity areas.
• Weekly pay on Fridays
• Temp and Temp to Perm Opportunities
• First shift only
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
• Must have 6 months of experience in a maintenance-related field.
• Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting and HVAC for EPA Certified Technicians.
• EPA Type I & II or Universal certification needed for all EPA Certified Technicians.
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are a requirement.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
• Ensure the property’s daily efficient operation by maintaining its upkept appearance.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks in individual apartments, communal spaces, and amenity areas.
• Assist in trash collection and appliance relocation to or from apartment.
• Change locks & make keys as needed.
• Swiftly diagnose and rectify problems involving electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, flooring & drywall.
• Clean up thoroughly after performing work.
• Prepare vacant units for new move-ins.
• Maintain accurate records related to preventive maintenance, service requests, expenditures, and apartment make-ready status & work-in-progress.
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
• Complete assigned service requests in a safe & timely manner.
• If an EPA Certified Technician – Troubleshoot & service HVAC equipment in accordance with EPA standards, when applicable, using all necessary equipment & logs as required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
• Inside & outside work in all types of weather is required.
• Tasks most often involve prolonged standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Frequently lift 50+ pounds across variable distances.
• Required to use personal hand tools. EPA Certified Technicians must have gauges and meters for HVAC tasks.
